In the last column for Delo, Petra Juvančič, MAS Executive Director, wrote about two phenomena - on the one hand about resistance to migrants and nationalism under the guise of patriotism, on the other about resistance to foreign investors under the pretext of national interest.

She emphasized that Slovenia's development in a globally competitive environment requires an open mind and developmental mindset, which also means foreign capital: "But for now we are stubbornly acting as a country where capital and profit are a taboo. We look at success with some contempt. We make an ideological quarrel of any reasonable story that would help the development of entrepreneurship, be it a social cap, reasonable taxes or debureaucratization."
