Measures for the gradual start-up of the economy and the stabilization of the economic and social situation resulting from the covid-19 epidemic must be designed in such a way that they are as focused as possible on solving Slovenia's key development challenges. This is also stated by IMAD in its Development Report, which highlights 4 key long-term challenges:
-    accelerating productivity growth - that is why MAS, in cooperation with Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and the Faculty of Economics, is preparing an action plan to increase productivity;
-    adaptation to demographic change;
-    the transition to a low-carbon circular economy;
-    strengthening the development role of the state and its institutions.
