The economy supports the social/development cap
The Business Circle, an initiative that connects CCIS, SBC, AmCham, and MAS, met on 20 May with representatives of key media on the topic of social or development cap. We pointed out that the taxation of labor in Slovenia is higher than the average of OECD countries, which has a negative impact on the growth of added value and the emigration of educated Slovenes. We proposed that the social/development should be lowered from 6,000 euros to 4,600 euros, which would cover more development staff needed to increase the competitiveness of the Slovenian economy.
